Our Story
Lightwork was started in 2025 by Laura Nicaise as a personal endeavor at the intersection of culture and impact. Laura’s journey—from earning a master’s degree in engineering while photographing concerts, to working in music and sports, to advancing a career in climate finance—shaped her belief that culture can inspire action, and that meaningful impact is amplified when creativity is involved.
Lightwork exists to explore and celebrate that intersection. It is a space where music, sports, and creative industries meet sustainability, social equity, and purpose-driven innovation. Through stories, research, and resources, Lightwork highlights how cultural experiences can drive awareness, engagement, and action—and how impact, in turn, can fuel richer, more resonant culture.
